Originally from the Midwest and graduate of the University of Iowa, Dee relocated to Arizona and completed her Masters of professional counseling degree at Grand Canyon University in 2014. She has been a LAC (Licensed Associate Counselor) for the state of Arizona since 2014, working in both residential treatment and private practice. These diverse experiences help Dee bring an eclectic and versatile perspective to the therapeutic process.
Dee has experience in working with adult clients; individuals, couples and families struggling with substance abuse/dependence, PTSD, trauma, mental health symptoms and disorders, sexual abuse, domestic violence and relationship issues. Dee strives to create a safe and judgment free space to help clients improve their overall health and well-being through compassionate collaboration. She treats each client with dignity and respect to build a community of resources and supports for continued growth potential through multiple modalities including; EMDR, DBT, CBT, family systems, client & solution-focused counseling.
In her free time, Dee loves the outdoors, animals and exploring her surroundings to find and experience joy, and enjoys helping others create these experiences for themselves.
