Kimberly is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who specializes in working with adults and older teens (17+) suffering from mood challenges, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, eating disorders, and more. She also works with individuals who are sober and in active recovery from addictions to help support their continuing recovery by gaining insight and addressing the underlying and historical issues that led to addictive behaviors.
She also enjoys working with couples to help improve communication, understand and reprogram dynamics that no longer serve them, and enjoys helping them develop stronger emotional connections.
Kimberly uses a variety of different treatment modalities that best suit her clients’ needs and her clients play an active role in their own recovery and wellness. She has received advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), a gentle yet highly effective therapeutic technique that enables her to help clients resolve core issues, relieve distressing emotional symptoms, and gain new insights into past life experiences that are having a residual effect on their moods, relationships and ability to achieve life goals. She uses her advanced training using EMDR to address complex trauma, trauma-based dissociation, early life trauma, and recent acute traumatic events.
Kimberly treats adults, couples, and adolescents age 17 or older.
