Valerie Fink Sierra is a native New Yorker who re-invented her life and career from a small business owner to an AZ state Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC), a Certified Life Coach, and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Valerie is a graduate of Ottawa University with a dual Masters in both Human Resources/Substance Abuse Counseling and Employee Assistance Counseling. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). She has worked in the addiction field for over 10 years, facilitating IOP groups for individuals, couples and families in recovery. Her passion is to restore persons with substance abuse disorders to living a life of recovery. Bringing faith and hope to the hearts of those effected by substance abuse disorders Valerie advocates for empowering others to create new beginnings and to never give up believing everyone is deserving of living happy, productive lives in recovery.
Valerie loves to travel, spend time with her husband and family, and relax with her pseudo family of 3 cats and 3 dogs. She is a volunteer member of Assistance League Phoenix and participates in Operation School Bell which helps provide new school clothing to children in poverty. Her experiences in her personal life has helped shape her heart with compassion and perseverance to keep making the next step possible for all to take.
